The possible renaming of University of Lagos (UNILAG)

This title better have given you a chuckle...or at least made you kiss your teeth :D

The news is everywhere. However, if you are unaware or just didn't get a chance to share your own opinion of the issue...YOUR WELCOME :P

On the 29th of May 2012, Nigerian President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan announced (obviously without proper consideration....like everything else we've seen him do so far) on this beautiful democratic day that the university well-known as the University of Lagos be renamed Moshood Abiola University.

The most important question on my mind is WHY?! Why? Why fix something that isn't broken?

Animal cruelty/ Possible Equine Influenza (flu)

I'll start off by providing a definition to the word "influenza" so we are all on the same page.

According to Wikipedia,
"Influenza is an infectious disease ... that affects birds and mammals."

For those of us living in or that have visited Nigeria (Lagos) recently, you would have noticed that we have a number of unhealthy and unkept horses lingering around some of our streets. They have been abandoned by their owners and what's worse is they have been maltreated before being "disposed." I am not an animal activist, however I feel so much pain when I see a sick horse along side the road (especially when they are also surrounded by bruises on their feet and backs).

Then (with my beautifully wide imagination) I start making out the cause/ result of certain weirdly looking wounds on the horses. My most recently thought of, is cancer or some sort of virus infestation.

(Don't be shy to laugh...but when you are done, think about it again)

To mBa or not to mBa... that is the question.

Been thinking of slowly evolving to bringing my own business idea to life. My ideas aren't solid yet and good thing is i'm in no hurry (to perform miracles).

Then I had a very interesting and inspirational conversation with one of my dad's friend's wife. She advised me to seriously consider doing an MBA. She listed most of the pros to this idea (but no cons whatsoever... but you and I know tuition is a bit of a con). She explained how every career path is a BUSINESS venture: studying medicine/ working in a hospital; being an engineer/ working at or on a site; being a financial consultant/ working in a financial institute; etc.

This does sound like a fabulous idea, however am I ready for it? Don't I need to know where I am going career-wise before I plunge into getting an MBA? I understand I can work anywhere with an MBA, but am I really guaranteed job security when I come back home to work (yes! my MBA would probably be in the States... yaaay! missed YOU too : p lol)?

Personally, I would rather just go with the flow of things. Keep working/ looking for a suitable job that would build me up... Cross that bridge when I get to it.

What do you think? Have I gotten to that bridge yet?

Trifling a** people #smh#

Can someone explain to me why ladies act so ... darn STUPID?!
And you, men...trifling ass individuals #smh.

So I was having a very interesting conversation with my cousin and my friend, Miss A ;) yesterday evening. So Miss A. tells me about someone she knows that was dating a dude (let's call this someone, Mz DumbMuch). Mz DumbMuch starts dating this dude, Romeo-la-swag, whom she is well aware recently broke up with one of her friends. Anyways, seems like she got to la-la land sooner than the conception of a baby and guess what?! conception of a baby was definitely the result.

So Mz DumbMuch has had a few ups and downs with Romeo-la-swag during their relationship (who doesn't, right?!) But then she gets pregnant, and as any lady out of wedlock, got very much confused on what to do: keep it or abort. A close family member advised her to keep it and promised to assist in taking care of the child with her (as she didn't have a child of her own). So her decision;

Mz DumbMuch: "I'm keeping this baby." :)

Weeks later, GUESS WHAT people (hehe!)

The New Era unfolds

Ever been (or still are) a backstreet boys fan?!

#humming# ...Although loneliness has always been a friend of mine...

Well, that's how I've kinda felt since 2 days ago. :( I know on facebook I said it was just a phone #RollingMySexyCatEyes# but it was MY phone. MY companion. MY reminder, my on-the-go search engine, my pretending-to-use-the-map-to-avoid-STAYING-lost (x_x)....MY Blackberry!

Say whatever you may, but it was not a disease to me. I could go days without 3 pings on my phone (I really could). But the mere fact that it was there was enough comfort.

Not fair!!!! Not fair #UnderMyBreathe- Freaking fun wedding at Harbor Point/ Getting a bit (too) tipsy to remember to pick up my phone within 20 seconds of putting it down, carelessly# It is well sha.

Feel free to gloat in your blackberry-sociallife-having or mourn with me :'(. Or would you recommend another cool sexy thingy-ma-bob for a sista *wink wink*

[Let's even see how long I'll last...Here we go]
